One afternoon a certain scholar who had made a study of all the twenty seven levels of consciousness and the types of samadhi that a person could attain stopped by to visit Sisman Tuccar at the teahouse. Sisman was just in the middle of enjoying a baklava and a cup of tea. You could see that the scholar was sizing Sisman up. Finally the scholar couldn’t contain himself any longer and asked, “What kind of samadhi are you in? Is it savikalpa, samprajnata or is it nirvikalpa?
Replied Sisman, “Baklava.”
