One morning a woman came to see Sisman and said, “I think I’ve understood the thing that’s between what’s already gone and what hasn’t yet arrived but I’m not completely sure if I’ve got it or not. Sometimes I think I do but then sometimes I think I don’t. If you could describe it for me then I’ll know if I’ve got it or not.”
Replied Sisman, “It’s like the sound of children laughing.”
